NANDA!
nana is joining us from arkansas. this five year old is going to celebrate his next birthday on april thirteenth. he's usually very quiet, observant, and keeps to himself and is really quite good at hunting vermin. his problem is with backing down. tsk tsk. welcome to MADNESS, hun.
full name: nanda
breed face: cairn terrier
member group: pet
age: five years
likes: rodents, farms, open spaces
dislikes: confined spaces, drought, being called small
personality:history:nanda is very much like his breed. he has a high prey drive, and rodents should beware. this small dog will chase anything small that moves, 'small' being very open to interpretation. he's used to having something to do, having grown up on a farm and all, and the thought of not having something to do drives him mad. if he doesn't get to hunt, then he can normally be found pacing back and forth, trying to find something else to do. getting him to lay down is like getting a rock to speak. he just won't do it. he's even been known to stay up all night long because he constantly needs something to do.
the rare cases in which nanda does stand still tend to come when something catches his attention that he cannot see. if there's a voice or some other noise that doesn't have an owner or perhaps a smell, he'll pause, growing rigid. he is known to stand there for hours until he can figure out where the sound or scent came from. it isn't until his attention gets captured by something else that he'll finally leave.
other than being headstrong and always needing something to do or hunt, nanda is very withdrawn. he doesn't like talking to others, and he generally will try to ignore everyone to the best of his ability. however, enough persistence will normally get him to speak up at last. introductions he'll do, but that's just about it for the most part. he's loyal, however, to those who can get into his shell and earn his companionship. he also has the normal big dog in a small dog's body complex going on, so he isn't afraid to stand up to a larger dog. would he win against a larger dog? this guy is only twelve pounds. no, he wouldn't.RIBBIT.
